Current and Controversial Topics: Books

This guide will help you find books, articles, and quality Internet sources on controversial topics and topics currently in the news.

Finding Books

To find books in the Macdonald-Kelce Library you will need to search the Online Catalog.

  • Search by Keyword, Title, Subject, or Author.
  • Limit your retrieval results by choosing Main Collection (books) or Reference (Encyclopedias and Dictionary's) under "Quick Limit".
  • Make note of the book's Call Number (alphanumeric code which determines an items location on the shelf), Location (where it is in the library), and Status (if it is on the shelf or checked out)

Remember, even if the library doesn't have the book you are looking for you can request it through InterLibrary Loan. Keep in mind it may take a week or so for the book to arrive.

While you can locate books in the online catalog without logging into Esearch, access to Ebooks requires that you be logged in.
