UpToDate provids health care professional access to current clinical information. It addresses specific clinical issues in the form of topic reviews. UpToDate, says it is designed to get healt care professionals the concise, practical answers they need when they need them most—at the point of care. Topic reviews are written by  experts who review the literature and then bring the information together into  recommendations for  diagnosising, managing and treating a patient.

Finding Uptodate

Step 1: Visit the library esearch page and sign in using your myUT creditials and navigate to UpToDate..

Step 2: Click the orange Register Now box to create an account (use your UT e-mail)

Step 3: Optional but if you wish to use a mobile Device.  If your mobile device/browser supports HTML, cookies, and JavaScript, you can use the library's links to UpToDate from the web browser on your mobile device. No app is required. In fact, the mobile-friendly site looks identical to the app. You will still need a WiFi connection to use the app. The content does not download to your device. 

Step 4:  You can download an Uptodate app from your apsore if yopumwish and use with your account.

Creating an Account

Step 1: Click the orange Register Now box to create an account (use your UT e-mail).

Step 2:  Fill in form that looks like the sample below.

Step 3:  You will periodically be ask to revalidate your account.
